Project Description
To undertake an inspection and report on the condition of the racking in accordance with SEMA Guidelines and Codes of Practice.

The method of inspection followed was as indicated in the SEMA ‘Guide to the Conduct of Racking and Shelving Inspections’ with particular attention being paid to the inspection of beams, uprights, frame bracings, floor fixings and locking clips.

It should also be noted that a general observation was made of the following:

1. Pallet location on beams
2. Conditions and types of pallets
3. Positioning of loads and types of loads stored on pallets
4. General forklift operatives use of the racking
5. General housekeeping of the installation

AMP Safety services are qualified SEMA Approved Rack Inspectors (SARI) and over the years been actively involved with SEMA SEIRS Management Committee.
